Where did Raves originate from?
" The history of raves itself is quite uncertain as to when and where it had originated or who introduced it, especially the raves in America. There is no official dating or exact location on the founding of a rave. Rumors have been told that the first actual rave began in England and Germany. It's been told that raves started out as a secretive late after-hour parties held in clubs, commercial buildings, and even private homes for invited guests only. Its popularity did not uncover until the early 1990's when news and media exposed the finding of these hidden parties (or rave) to the public." This was said by, Nancy Borrego, in an article of "Rave Party Culture."
Raves were originally from Chicago as more of an underground movement.
Coming from a Rave Archive http://www.fantazia.org.uk/Scene/themusic.htm
it all started from on base which is House Music. One day, in a warehouse club in Chicago, a group of Dj's were messing around with synthesized percussion tracks and their own creation of hi energy sounds while mixing them with early disco hits. There new sound was loved by their club members and it became known as House Music.
